Cardinal, Giovanni Vincenzo Bonzano served as Apostolic Delegate to United States from 1912 to 1922, and was elevated to Cardinal in 1922. He was appointed on May 18, 1926 as papal legate to the twenty-eighth International Eucharistic Congress in Chicago, which opened on June 20, 1926.

During his service as a Roman Catholic priest, and later Cardinal, Giovanni Vincenzo Bonzano saw the Violet Flame when in contemplation of God. At a certain point in the giving of prayers and devotions, the Violet Flame became part of his daily spiritual life. Through the purification of negative karma through the Violet Flame of God's All-Consuming Love, and the fulfillment of his Divine Plan, Cardinal Bonzano attained His Ascension. Beloved Cardinal Bonzano began the Inner Work preparing for His Ascension at the 1926 Eucharistic Congress, and with His transition in Rome on November 26, 1927, He became an Ascended Master and a part of the Ascended Host of Light.

"Prior to my Ascension, as an officer of the Holy Church to which I then belonged, I aspired with all my Heart to secure from the Hand of God all the Wonders that His Love could convey. And so I was taught inwardly the Law of the Violet Flame, and I knew an inward communion with Saint Germain, which has been given to other princes of the Church on occasion.

I was able to be subsequently Raised to the position of an Ascended Being to surround the Beloved Master Jesus, and I consider this a supreme tribute of Heaven. But as most of us are not satisfied to merely enjoy the Wonders of Heaven, we continue to convey Our Love and Service to mankind in many ways. Myriad Angels beam Their Light Earthward each day bearing Messages of Love from Our Councils, and from the Councils of even Stars beyond your ken.
